PHYT 7427 Clinical Diagnosis and Management V: Neurological II
This course is designed to facilitate students’ integration of previously learned information and abilities from Neuroscience I with the acquisition and application of new knowledge and skills in the comprehensive examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, intervention, and plan of care for adult patients with neuromuscular dysfunctions. Specific diagnoses will include, but are not limited to cerebrovascular accident, traumatic brain injury, neuromuscular and autoimmune diseases, and cognitive and degenerative disorders of the nervous system. Emphasis is on differential diagnosis, screening, examination, and evaluation of function as well as the development of comprehensive intervention programs that lead to improvement of function.
