PHYT 7134 Pharmacology
The study of the general principles of pharmacology including pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics will be reviewed. Students will learn about common medications used for pain control, inflammation, diabetes, osteoporosis, anxiety, depression and psychosis, cancer, and GI system disorders. Pharmacological considerations in the geriatric patient will be discussed. Emphasis is on the impact of various types of pharmacological agents on physical therapy management.
