PHYT 7307 Neuroscience I

Study of the anatomical substrate related to function of the nervous system. Particular attention is given to gross and sectional anatomy of the brain, brainstem, spinal cord, and the related neural pathways for the motor and somatosensory systems. Laboratories involves the gross and regional study of entire peripheral, spinal cord, and brain anatomy as well as the surrounding support structures by utilizing dissection of the human cadaver. Emphasis is on general relationships between structures and applied neuroanatomy relevant to the practice of physical therapy.
