PHYT 7233 Diagnostic Imaging
This course provides foundational information and skills to help the physical therapist utilize diagnostic imaging in the examination of patients. General principles of radiology are addressed, followed by more specific issues related to imaging of different body systems. The basic physics of image acquisition and fundamental concepts of image interpretation for a variety of common imaging procedures are taught with clinically relevant case examples. Emphasis is placed on how to successfully integrate musculoskeletal imaging procedures into physical therapist patient/client management.
