SURG 2212 Surgical Capstone and Professional Practice
This didactic capstone course focuses on professional practice, employability skills, certification preparation, and transition to the workforce. Content includes professional ethics, legal considerations, documentation, risk management, resume preparation, interview skills, and review of core surgical technology concepts aligned with certification expectations.
Prerequisite
These courses are required as it provides the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to build upon in subsequent nursing coursework and clinical experiences.
Corequisite
This clinical course must be taken concurrently with the associated didactic course to support the immediate application of theory, skills, and clinical reasoning in the supervised practice environment.
