Studio Art, B.F.A.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art is a pre-professional program that is aligned with industry/academic standards and designed for students with a passion for pursuing intensive study in art, design, and media. This major leads to career placements in the creative industry or graduate M.F.A. (Masters of Fine Art) programs. The B.F.A. degree in an art and design program is unique in the university setting in that it is a complete, 4-year degree focusing approximately 65% of the degree program toward art courses. The curriculum covers a broad scope of creative skills and techniques, history and theory, professional development, and capstone experiences required for career field readiness or graduate art/design programs. The BFA in Studio Art at Hardin-Simmons gives students the opportunity to pursue a specific concentration in Design, Fine Art, Digital Arts and Creative Technologies, or Interdisciplinary.
