NUR 3311 Maternal-Newborn & Pediatric Nursing Care Clinical
This clinical course focuses on developing the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe and effective family-centered nursing care for women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, as well as for newborns and children from birth to adolescence.
The clinical component consists of direct patient care under the supervision of a clinical instructor in patient care settings for the adult and older adult populations. Clinical contact hours total 135 hours
Prerequisite
These courses are required as it provides the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to build upon in subsequent nursing coursework and clinical experiences.
Corequisite
This clinical course must be taken concurrently with the associated didactic course to support the immediate application of theory, skills, and clinical reasoning in the supervised practice environment.
