NUR 3217 Community & Public Health Nursing Care Clinical
This clinical course focuses on developing the knowledge and skills necessary to provide safe and effective patient-centered care for individuals, families, and populations through community-oriented and population-focused nursing while exploring the significance of environment, social justice, advocacy, interprofessional teamwork, and cultural awareness.
The clinical component consists of direct patient care and observation under the supervision of a clinical instructor in patient care settings for individuals, families, and populations through community-oriented and population-focused nursing. Clinical contact hours total 90 hours
Prerequisite
These courses are required, as it provides the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to build upon in subsequent nursing coursework and clinical experiences.
Corequisite
This didactic course supports the associated clinical course by delivering the theoretical and instructional content required for clinical application.
