Studio Art, B.F.A.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art is a pre-professional program that is aligned with industry/academic standards and designed for students with a passion for pursuing intensive study in art, design, and media. Students may pursue a specific concentration in Design, Fine Art, Digital Arts and Creative Technologies, or Interdisciplinary. All students declaring a major in art are considered a pre-art major first and are to be enrolled as BA Art major until they have successfully passed the foundation art sequence and foundation review (18 art credits) and core studio sequence and Core studio review (18 art credits). In their final semester of courses in foundations and then Core studio course sequences students will participate in department reviews of their portfolio and active participation and professional development in the art program to determine eligibility for the BFA studio art program with a specific concentration, or continue as a BA art major, or be required to change to an art minor.
