HIST 4302 The American West

A survey course in the regional history of the Trans-Mississippi West from pre-European contact through the twentieth century. Emphasis is placed on the conquest, colonization, and development of the region as well as the intercultural and environmental relations among the diverse peoples vying for occupancy and opportunity in the American West.
