BIOL 3441 Wildlife Techniques

The course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the field techniques used by wildlife biologists in collection and analysis of data on vertebrate populations to address natural resource research and management objectives. Topics to be covered include experimental design, sampling strategies, development and testing of research hypotheses and common field techniques used to sample animal populations. Students will be handling living organisms and will be collecting field specimens using non-invasive sampling techniques. Analysis of samples will be conducted in both a field and laboratory setting. Prerequisite: BIOL 1307 and BIOL 1107. Fall (even years).
