CRIJ 2310 Use of Force
This course will be an examination of issues surrounding the use of force within the context of the law enforcement practitioner. Legal, ethical, political, social, and historical perspectives will be explored. The impact of the use of force on the citizen as well as the law enforcement officer will be analyzed. This course will include a review of relevant case law, local, state, and federal policies, procedures, and practices, the influence of social media, and technology related to the use of force.
