READ 3388 Child and Adolescent Literature

In this introductory children's literature course, current and traditional representations of various genre appropriate for grades EC-8 will be read and studied with a focus on evaluation of literature with opportunities to become familiar with a wide variety of books. Rationale, methods, and activities to teach curriculum with children's literature will be included. Authentic experiences will include analyzing, evaluating, and producing visual images, messages, and meaning.
