READ 3360 Beginning Literacy Development

An introductory reading course informing students of research-based approaches focusing on emergent literacy with a strong emphasis on phonological and oral language development. Authentic experiences include collaborative and individual assignments, along with developing literacy-based lessons, which reflect elements of word analysis, decoding, and the alphabetic principle.
