PSYC 4335 History/Systems/Phil of Psychology
The capstone course required for all majors. It is to be taken the last spring semester before graduation and includes a comprehensive exam, research paper with oral presentation, and senior exit survey. Content focuses on emergence of modern psychology from the other sciences and philosophy; development of contemporary systems of psychology in American and Europe with emphasis on historical and systematic development, and the conceptual and methodological bases for the major systems of psychology. This course is accepted by the Department for meeting the technological competency requirement.
