The study of traditional international law issues with an emphasis on basic concepts including sources and evolution of international law; international criminal law; peaceful settlement of disputes; rights, duties and responsibilities of sovereign states; international agreements and treaties; state responsibilities and treatment of aliens; the use of force; human rights, and the evolving role of international organizations.
