NURS 3334 Dimensions of Nursing

This course will explore the nurse’s professional roles and values, and the interaction of the nurse with the health care delivery system. The historical development of the nursing profession will be analyzed. Important concepts integrated throughout the course are critical thinking, problem solving, legal/ethical principles, decision-making models, and the contribution of nursing theory to practice. Medical terminology and medication calculation principles/formulas will be introduced.
