BIOL 4326 Virology

A fundamental study of the mechanisms of viral infection of mammalian cells, viral replication and evasion of host immune defenses. The molecular pathogens of select viruses that impact human health with be emphasized. Biotechnological advances utilizing viruses will also be discussed. Prerequisites: BIOL 2420 or consent of instructor.
