PHYT 7303 Applied Physiology I

This is the first of a two-semester course sequence involving the study of the homeostasis of organ systems, as well as acute and chronic responses of these organ systems to exercise and work. Application of physiology to healthy populations with reference to those with disease will be emphasized. Topics include physiology of bed rest, cellular physiology, autonomic nervous system, energy metabolism, neuromuscular system, endocrine system, energy metabolism, body composition, nutrition, and ergonomics.
