NURS 4373 Care of the Terminally Ill

This course examines the components of providing holistic care for the dying client. Emphasis is placed on providing a comfortable environment for the client, including pain management and management of other symptoms. Facilitating communication among client, family, and members of the interdisciplinary health care team is an essential part of providing quality care at the end of life. Psycho social and spiritual needs of the dying client are discussed.
