INSY 3367 Management of Information Systems

This course examines the use of information systems and information technology in organizational settings from the perspective of a non-technology manager. This course will help you understand how businesses utilize information technology and systems and how it impacts their business models, processes, and competitive landscape. This course will also examine the potential impact of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, blockchains, and cloud computing, on business processes and models. At the end of this course, you should understand how information technologies and networks are used in businesses, the management issues with acquiring and implementing information technology, and the legal and security issues involved with using information technology to manage corporate data and business processes.
