KINE 1130 Strength & Flexibility Training
This is an activity-based course designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of resistance and weightlifting exercise techniques, strength development, and flexibility enhancement. Students will learn the proper and safe methods for performing, and instructing resistance and weightlifting exercises, while gaining an understanding of key fitness terms and principles. Through practical demonstrations and hands-on experience, participants will expand their knowledge of strength training and flexibility techniques. The course includes pre- and post-fitness testing to monitor progress, allowing students to track their improvement. Additionally, learners will gain the skills to create self-designed workout plans tailored to the different components of a basic strength training program, ensuring a well-rounded and personalized fitness routine.
