HLPR 5111 Introduction to Healthcare Practice in the Clinical Setting

The course is an introduction to healthcare practice in a supervised clinical practicum. The objective is to deliver safe patient-centered care, function as a patient safety advocate, and uphold professional standards. Students will apply clinical reasoning and judgment throughout the patient care process while gaining an understanding of disease processes, treatment options, evaluation methods, and procedures involved in patient care. Graduate-level courses will require advanced coursework.
