SOCI 3320 Sociology of Sport

Study of the structural and cultural relationship of sport to society. Consideration will be given to the historical development of sports in the U.S., with special emphasis on the importance of gender, race/ethnicity, and social class as they relate to sports. Current issues and problems will be addressed.
