ENVS 4312 Geospatial Technology

This course is designed for upperclassmen in the sciences who have a need for training in use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The class is driven by introductory lectures and hands-on computer-based activities to teach the fundamental principles behind GIS, train students in the use of GIS, and have the student apply this training toward a realistic geospatial project. In addition, students will be trained in the use of Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers, and portable weather stations/altimeters.
