CSCI 3378 Information Security Management
This course will explain each phase of the information security management life cycle (prevent, prepare, detect, respond, and learn) and the best practices, policies, and procedures associated with each phase. Students will learn how these policies and procedures can be implemented to reduce or mitigate the severity of security incidents. Strategic issues related to security management will also cover the alignment of security management with business practices and outcomes, compliance issues, and the fit of security policies and practices to organizational culture.
