CMHC 5315 Assessment and Testing

The purpose of this course is to develop an understanding of the measurement and assessment of abilities, achievement, attitudes, interests, behavior, psychological disorders, counseling outcomes, suicide risk and personality. Problems and principles of administration, scoring, and interpreting group (including couples & families) and individually administered tests will be covered. Utilization of test data for diagnostic, placement, predictive, and evaluative purposes will be explored. Students will learn elementary statistical principles and will be involved in test administration, scoring, and interpretation. A laboratory fee will be assessed to offset costs of replacement materials and test report protocols.
