SCWK 4312 Addiction & Recovery

An overview of biological, psychological, and social factors that influence addictions, including substance abuse and process addictions. This survey course includes topics including major drug categories in prescription and over the counter medications, and behavioral/process addictions such as gambling and sexual addiction. Treatment options are also discussed, as well as the impact on the individual and their family. May not be used in core.
