SCWK 2303 Social Work Practice I

Clarification of the interview process and development of specific skills, competencies, and concepts for interviewing. Focus is on developing basic skills of the interview, including listening, influencing, and structuring an effective session. A lab experience is provided for skill building in conducting an interview. Content includes integration of ethical and multicultural issues in practice. Students are required to do 30 hours of Community Volunteer Work during the semester.
