NURS 5340 Health Care and Missions

This elective nursing course exposes students to concepts in cross-cultural health care, and introduces the concept of servant-leadership in that context. The course will lay the foundation of health care strategies, which can be used to serve and evangelize in cross-cultural environments. Topics include culture shock, transcultural nursing, and methods used to start and maintain health care clinics in transcultural or faith-based setting. Includes 25 clinical hours of a nursing mission experience.
