READ 3393 Read Assessment & Intervention
This course develops a comprehensive under- standing of a variety of formal and informal assessments for the pre-service teacher.Intervention strategies that focus on comprehension,fluency,vocabulary,writing and spelling will be taught. Theory and well- researched effective teaching practices are interwoven throughout the semester to provide the student with a strong theoretical basis for assessing,designing,and implementing instruction to meet instructional literacy needs of students grades 2-8.
