PHYS 2406 Introduction to Music Acoustics

A laboratory course that introduces the nature of sound produced by the human voice and musical instruments. The course will cover viberations, wave phenomena, sound generation, and propagation, the nature of hearing, room acoustics and the analysis of sound. The The analysis of the sound production of musical instruments will be of particular emphasis. This course may not be used to satisfy the degree requirements of science majors or minors.
