MUTC 4239 Composing For Film/ TV

In this course students will learn the basics of scoring for film and TV. They will receive a brief overview of film-music history, learn about the relationship between drama and music, become acquainted with the technology used in producing sound for film and TV, learn about the different roles in producing music for film and TV, and compose/record music for several film and TV cues. Prerequisites: music reading skills, experience with a music notation program, and working knowledge of a DAW. Does not satisfy fine arts requirement in the foundational curriculum.
