ART 2382 Fundamentals of Digital Photography

A course in digital photography and digital image capture, processing, and printing. Various software techniques will be covered as well taking pictures in a variety of environments including controlled lighting in a photo studio. Emphasis on camera functions and usage, printing, and composition development utilizing the elements and principles of design. Commercial, critical, and aesthetic approaches to image making will be discussed.  A personal digital camera is required, DSLR or Mirrorless camera systems are preferred. Some lab and material purchases will be required in order to complete projects.
